The Midland Business Alliance (MBA) is encouraging Michigan voters to vote NO on Proposal 1 in the November 3, 2026, general election, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a stable and predictable environment for Michigan's business community.

Proposal 1 asks voters whether Michigan should convene a constitutional convention in 2027 to consider a general revision of the state's constitution.

MIDLAND, MI – The Midland Business Alliance (MBA) has announced its support for two school funding proposals that will appear on the November 3, 2026, general election ballot: the Meridian Public Schools bond proposal and the Midland Public Schools sinking fund proposal.

The MBA Board of Directors formally approved a resolution supporting both proposals on August 3, 2026, recognizing the importance of investing in educational facilities, student safety and the development of a strong future workforce.

Representing approximately 3,100 businesses in the Midland area, the MBA believes that access to high-quality education is essential to preparing the next generation of workers and supporting the region's long-term economic success.

The Midland Business Alliance joined County Connection of Midland on October 14, 2026, to celebrate 30 years of service to the Midland community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 883 E. Isabella Road.

County Connection of Midland provides transportation for individuals traveling to work, school, appointments and other daily living needs throughout Midland County. The organization also provides transfer points connecting riders with Isabella, Gladwin and Clare counties.

The Midland Business Alliance joined Brooks Estates Apartments and managing partner RT Group Properties on October 15, 2026, to celebrate the apartment community’s 10th anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2414 Swede Ave. in Midland.

The award was bestowed for the organization’s work in the Multimedia Promotion category for the 25,000-200,000 population group.
