Midland County has strong connections to several colleges and universities,
easily producing some of the most qualified candidates across Michigan.

Central Michigan University 

Just a short drive from downtown Midland, Central Michigan University boasts 300 top-flight undergraduate and graduate programs. 16 Division I athletic teams, 227 labs on campus and one of 300 top-tier research institutions. CMU offers more than 300 academic programs across seven colleges. 

CMU Research Corporation

CMURC is committed to inclusive entrepreneurship with the ultimate goal of closing the opportunity gap because people from all backgrounds deserve access to business and entrepreneurial resources.

It brings together local, regional and statewide partners to accelerate the success of entrepreneurs, professionals, and corporations growing businesses and jobs by leveraging the resources of Central Michigan University, the Midland SmartZone District and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. 

501(c)(3) organization with professional and diverse coworking space and accelerator programs. It is focused on product and strategic development for entrepreneurs to positively impact the economy in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Davenport University (Midland Campus)

Davenport University offers flexible, career-focused degree programs that help workers earn the education, skills, and real-world experience necessary to rise above the rest.

Located in the heart of Michigan, Davenport University’s Midland Campus focuses on adult learners looking to start or continue their education. With a priority on making sure learners have the necessary resources and support to pursue the next promotion or an entirely new opportunity in business, technology or health, Davenport University allows students to learn where they live (and work!)

At Delta College, workforce training solutions for employers are coordinated through the Corporate Services office - the region's recognized leader in workforce training and development.

Northwood Univiersity & DeVos Graduate School

Northwood University seeks to develop free enterprise leaders who drive global economic and social progress. Northwood University has undergraduate studies, adult degree programs and is home to the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management. 

DeVos students develop critical thinking skills through problem solving and collaboration. Faculty have real industry experience used to guide class discussions and present real-world case studies.
