Lee Ann Keller didn’t initially set out to lead a company—let alone chair the board of the Midland Business Alliance. But after 30 years with Omni Tech International, Ltd., she’s doing just that—and more.
With a background in mechanical engineering and business, Lee Ann began her career in the corporate world before launching her own small consulting company. A merger with OmniTech gave her the broader platform she was looking for.
“I’ve always been a jack of all trades,” she said. “I love juggling different projects and having an impact across multiple industries. OmniTech gave me the opportunity to do that on a much larger scale.”
From day one, she found herself drawn to mission-driven work—helping other businesses grow, innovate, and succeed. “We believe that when businesses thrive, communities thrive,” she shared. “And that’s what drives our team every day.”
One of the most defining moments in Lee Ann’s journey came during a critical turning point at OmniTech. As the company transitioned from a multi-shareholder model to a single-owner structure, the process demanded an overhaul of operations, valuation, and internal systems. It was a daunting task with no clear roadmap.
In that moment of uncertainty, the Midland Business Alliance—though still operating as separate organizations at the time—proved to be a vital connector. “I had an entire village of support,” Lee Ann recalled, “from accountants and attorneys to the chamber and economic development leaders. They weren’t just resources—they were partners. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done professionally. But we made it through—and I’m so grateful. We might not be here without that support.”
Today, Lee Ann continues to pay it forward. Under her leadership, OmniTech recently earned a strategic planning contract with Midland Public Schools—one of just 10 vendors selected. It’s a natural fit for a company that has been helping clients refine strategy for more than 25 years.
“Our schools are such a vital part of the business community,” she said. “We’re excited to contribute to something that shapes the next generation.”
Lee Ann’s commitment to Midland is evident in her service as this year’s Chair of the MBA Board of Directors—a full-circle moment from her early days simply attending chamber events.
“I’m incredibly humbled,” she said. “We’ve come so far as a unified Midland Business Alliance. The team is strong, and we’re tackling the tough issues—housing, business retention, and even infrastructure projects that will leave a legacy for decades.”
She also serves as co-chair of the MBA's Infrastructure Subcommittee, working on long-term flood resiliency. “That’s something that’s going to make it easier for the next generation to thrive here,” she added.
At the heart of it all, Lee Ann is focused on growth—not just of new businesses, but of the ones that already call Midland home.
“We need to make sure we’re supporting the businesses that are already here,” she said. “That’s how we build a stronger Midland.”
The Midland Business Alliance is proud to recognize leaders like Lee Ann—who not only build successful businesses but help shape the future of our region through vision, service, and collaboration.
