From Recovery to Rebuilding: Adam Wittbrodt and the Mission Behind Level Up Fitness and Training

When Adam Wittbrodt talks about Level Up Fitness and Training, it’s more than a gym—it’s the result of a personal transformation and a deep commitment to helping others improve their lives. Adam’s journey began not in a business course or a training seminar, but during a season of personal recovery.

After facing a possession charge, Adam entered Midland County’s Recovery Court program, a rigorous diversion path that ultimately changed his life. While in treatment up north, he found himself rediscovering his passion for movement, physical activity, and—most importantly—helping others.

“I did this workshop about discovering your purpose, and mine came down to something simple: helping people,” he shared. “That can mean mentoring someone, offering a kind word, or building a business that helps people feel better physically and mentally.”

That mission became the foundation for Level Up Fitness and Training. His hybrid model offers something unique in the region—personalized fitness programs that combine corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, and mindset coaching. The goal? To help people feel better, move better, and build confidence.

“Gaining strength and changing your body can change your spirit,” Adam explained. “It’s not just about how you look. It’s about the sense of accomplishment, the confidence you carry.”

Adam’s journey has resonated with the Midland community in powerful ways. Open about his recovery and second chance, he says the support he’s received has been steady and affirming.
“This community has embraced me. Word of mouth has built my business. And I try to give back however I can—through volunteering, mentoring, and simply showing gratitude.”

Level Up’s future is just as bold as Adam’s story. He recently hired additional trainers who share his passion for service and is working on a detailed plan to expand the business online.

“There’s a gap in the market. Too many online trainers are charging high prices for low value,” he said. “I want to deliver real, customized guidance at a fair price—and take the Level Up message nationwide.”

He’s also launched his podcast designed to inspire mindset shifts and daily habits. “Even if the podcast doesn’t become huge, if it helps one person believe they can make a change, that’s success to me.”

As Adam puts it, the gym is just the beginning. His story is one of rebuilding—with grit, humility, and gratitude—and helping others do the same.
