Midland Area Farmers Market Opens Saturday, May 6 at Dow Diamond East Parking Lot

Midland, Michigan - The Midland Area Farmers Market will open for the 2023 season on Saturday, May 6 at the Dow Diamond East parking lot.
 
Market Dates and Hours 
The Market will be a walk-through market open regular hours, starting on Saturday. 
 
May 6 – October 28
7 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesdays & Saturdays
 
First three Saturdays in November
9 a.m. – 12 noon
 
Exciting New Vendors & Returning Favorites 
There are currently over 80 vendors signed up for this season. Some exciting new vendors include food trucks: The Twisted Fork, Phat Matt's, and Hangry Bear as well as Pointer Creek Farm, a Taste of the Country and Max Schultz Farms, just to name a few.

Entertainment & Events Galore  
The Market’s calendar is jam-packed with activities this season, including: 
 
  • A variety of musical talents will be performing weekly to provide ambiance at the Market.  
  • Mark your calendars for August 6-12, when we will be celebrating National Farmers Market Week along with the rest of the country. We are planning special events on both August 9 and 12, so stay tuned!

Community Partnerships Help the Market Thrive 
Thanks to support from MyMichigan Health and MSU Extension, Prescription for Health classes will continue for the 2023 season. Those attending classes receive coupons to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.
 
The Market's financial institution partner, Isabella Bank, enables the Market to accept many types of payment. This includes SNAP/EBT, WIC Project FRESH coupons, Senior Project FRESH coupons as well as Double Up Food Bucks and debit and credit. Opening Day at the Market
The Midland Area Farmers Market returns to the East Lot of Dow Diamond on Saturday, May 6th. We understand there is a Pitch Hit and Run event as well as an afternoon Loons game but the market will go on! Parking is free for market patrons at Dow Diamond, but may be congested due to these additional events. The Market is less than a 15 minute walk from Downtown Midland where the parking is plentiful. Be sure to bring your stroller or your wagon to transport your market finds and don't forget to check out the many businesses in Downtown Midland!
 
New to the Midland Area Farmers Market this year is an interactive map that allows you to see which vendors will be attending each day of the market, where the vendor is located within the market, and find contact information for these vendors. If you want to be make an impact on the Midland Area Farmers Market this season, we are still looking for volunteers to help on market days. You can sign up through the United Way of Midland County.

  • Animals are not allowed at the market, service dogs are allowed per ADA compliance.
  • Strollers, wagons and wheelchairs are welcomed and encouraged
  • We accept SNAP, WIC Project FRESH, Senior Project FRESH, Double Up Food Bucks and Prescription for Health
  • Parking is always free
