Midland Business Alliance Announce Staff Update

Penkala assumes new role with MBA

Marybeth Penkala joined the Midland Business Alliance staff in February 2021 as our Director of Events. After 11 months in that role, Penkala’s responsibilities will shift as she has been named the Director of Membership & Partner Engagement. She will lead the MBA’s sponsorship efforts and work to deliver first-class service to the MBA’s partners and members. Penkala lives in the Bullock Creek area with her husband, Sam, and their two young sons, Luca and James.

“We couldn’t be happier to have Marybeth moving into this new role with us,” MBA President and CEO Tony Stamas said. “During her first year, she really showed how valuable a member of the team she was and we’re excited to see what impact she can have in this expanded role.”

Lewis retires after 42-year career

Tina Lewis retired in December 2021 after four years with the Midland Business Alliance. She held the role of Director of Membership & Sales. Lewis played a pivotal role in the ambassador program and was a visible member of the staff serving as the MBA representative at ribbon cuttings and business after hours. She previously spent 13 years at the Midland Country Club following 25 years at the Holiday Inn.

“From all of us at the MBA, we want to thank Tina for her contributions to the Midland Business Alliance,” Stamas said. “Tina worked tirelessly to support our member businesses and will be dearly missed around our building.”
